Module A2

Length: 2.5-6 hour session

 Workshop Goals:

• Examine examples of how teaching through the lens of CRP influences instruction, curriculum, and assessment and ultimately improves student performance.
• Review pedagogical approaches that include the use of culturally responsive and transformative instructional practices.
• Explore components of an inclusive classroom.

Module B

Length: 2.5-4 hour session

 Workshop Goals:

• Distinguish between explicit and implicit biases.
• Explore how biases impact curriculum, assessment, and instruction. 
• Differentiate between deficit and asset-based mindsets. 

Module C

Length: 1.5-4 hour session

 Workshop Goals:

• Examine how silence prevents meaningful cross-cultural dialogues about systems of inequalities.
• Engage in reflective and honest discourse to disrupt inequitable outcomes and mindsets.
• Examine the economic, educational, and social effects resulting from silence.

Module E

Length: 2-4 hour session

Workshop Goals:

• Distinguish between the various expressions of oppression. 
• Unpack the history of power, prejudice, privilege, & oppression that Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) have faced. 
• Examine beliefs, practices, and policies that uphold and enforce the oppression of children.

Module F

Length: 2-4 hour session

Workshop Goals:

• Define Anti-racism and explore the historical roots and current manifestations of racism.
• Evaluate practices and policies to ensure they are consistent with diversity, equity, and inclusion goals
•  Examine strategies and resources to disrupt systemic oppression.    

Module G

Length: 2-6 hour session

Workshop Goals:

• Define family and community engagement.
• Explore the various ways families participate in the schooling process.
• Explore family engagement limitations and generational trauma that prevents some families from participating in the school experience.

Module H

Length: 2-6 hour session

Workshop Goals:

• Understand how to repair psychological harm through inclusive processes that engage students, families, and communities. 
• Learn how to shift the focus from discipline to learning. 
• Develop a framework of inclusive environments that empowers communities. 

Module I

Length: 2-4 hour session

Workshop Goals:

• Review essential LGBTQ+ vocabulary and the history and rights of the LGBTQ+ community. 
• Discuss how students who fall outside societal norms based on sexual orientation and gender identity are marginalized and bothered. 
• Identify the power of voice for marginalized members of our society via a role-playing activity.

Module J

Length: 1.5-4 hour session

Workshop Goals:

• Review research on sustaining brave cultures and recommendations for courageous cultures. 
• Examine examples of how leading through vulnerability influences our personal and professional lives and ultimately improves performance. 
• Examine strategies and resources to create inclusive and safe communities. 

Module K

Length: 2-4 hour session

Workshop Goals:

• Review research on sustaining brave cultures and recommendations for courageous cultures.
• Develop practices and systems to develop trust and mutual respect. 
• Explore components of an inclusive classroom.

Module N

Length: 2-6 hour session

Workshop Goals:

• Understand culturally responsive approaches to customer service and community care.
• Unpack the various aspects of our cultural identities and how they shape our interactions with the community and stakeholders.
• Examine examples of how to handle complicated customer interactions.
